Director Frank Pavich has assembled a fantastic documentary about the sci-fi epic that never was - an adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune by cult filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky. While Jodorowsky's Dune plays in the TIFF Docs programme, the surreal film that could have been featuring collaborations from Salvador Dalí, Orson Welles and Mick Jagger could have easily fit within TIFF's Vanguard programme.
